The ordering fee
The Parakalo ordering fee
Each order placed through Parakalo has a small ordering fee. It's a flat amount per order, from 20c to $2.90, and you always see it before you pay.
| Items subtotal | Ordering fee |
|---|---|
| Under $25.00 | 20c |
| $25.00 to $49.99 | 60c |
| $50.00 to $74.99 | $1.20 |
| $75.00 to $149.99 | $2.00 |
| $150.00 and over | $2.90 |
How it's worked out
The fee depends on the total of the items in your order, after any discounts and before any tip. Bigger orders have a slightly bigger fee, up to $2.90 for orders of $150.00 or more.
It's the same however you pay
Apple Pay, Google Pay or card, the fee doesn't change. It's a fee for the ordering service, not for the way you pay.
Where you'll see it
On the welcome screen when you scan the table code, on the menu, on each item, in your order, on the payment screen and on your receipt. It never appears for the first time at payment.
Why there's a fee
It covers the cost of running Parakalo, the ordering and payment service the venue uses for table ordering.
